The Edinburgh Dungeons is not a museum and not a haunted house — it's a run of eleven interactive live shows, linked by two underground rides. A professional cast plays every character. You'll walk through together with your group, one show at a time, over about 80 minutes. Every show has a story rooted in real Edinburgh and Scottish history.

The Descent
Your journey begins in a slow, creaking lift down into the dungeons — and no, there is no way back up.

The Plague Doctor
Meet a real 17th-century plague doctor and discover the horrifying 'cures' used on Edinburgh's dying.

The Witchfyre Tavern
Sit in on a witch trial in a smoky Old Town tavern — and try not to catch the judge's eye.
